Workflow fit
For Mac workflows
with a clear start and end
The machine is dedicated to you, but networking, third-party developer tools, code signing, and project configuration remain part of your workflow. Choose specs by task, then rent for a release window, iteration cycle, or experiment.
Xcode cloud builds
For short-term builds, testing, archiving, and release sprints. Before ordering, confirm the required Xcode and macOS versions and prepare certificates, provisioning profiles, and dependency sources. Complex projects should reserve storage for Derived Data, caches, and build artifacts.
Peak workloads
iOS / macOS CI/CD
Connect to an existing build queue for burst capacity or pre-release validation. Teams should define cache paths, retries, log redaction, post-job cleanup, and artifact export rules rather than treating the node as the sole backup location.
Continuous builds
Self-hosted runners
Register as a dedicated macOS runner for GitHub Actions or GitLab CI. Your team controls labels, concurrency, working directories, and job cleanup. Use short-lived credentials and remove temporary files and sensitive environment variables after every job.
Dedicated queue
VNC remote desktop
For macOS GUI operations, debugging, and tool configuration. The interactive experience depends on your local network, cross-region routing, resolution, and screen-change frequency. For sustained GUI work, choose a nearby node and verify connection quality first.
Remote operations
MLX experiments
Ideal for prototyping, dependency testing, and observing memory requirements on Apple Silicon. Manage models, datasets, and experiment records separately. High-memory nodes help validate hypotheses but do not replace formal capacity assessment or long-term resource planning.
Prototype validation
GPU Mac rendering
For divisible, observable stage-based tasks that can finish within the rental period. Actual time depends on the rendering software, asset volume, encoding settings, and unified-memory usage. Validate with representative assets at small scale before ordering.
